Well the tests came back from Jasons bone marrow aspiration and he has 33% leukemia cells. They started chemo yesterday and he tolerated the first batch well. Then last night he started throwing up and had a fever. Then to top it off our bathroom sink over flowed and the room flooded. So we have since moved to another room. His fever is gone and he ate breakfast fine. Back to homework and Monopoly. :)

Kim and Jason,
Just a word of encouragement. I have gone to a few select people at the University that I work with and I can say that it has caused nothing less than a chain reaction of concern and awe. I have been receiving emails from counselors I do not know in other divisions that are stepping forward to help your family with Christmas. Needless to say, my 12 person response has grown to about 60 people in three different divisions. It is amazing! I also talked to Barb and got the low down on the Bone Marrow drive in January. I am working with our Community Relations department to spark some interest in helping. I know that we have the space, the time, and the money. I just need to get Barb and the Comm Svcs Director to start chatting. I have begun to work on the website and some of the frame work is completed. It will probably be completed within another week and we are hoping to launch the site prior to Christmas. We want you to know that we love you all and we are going to punish this leukemia so it never comes back. On a lighter note, Jason. Courtney wanted me to tell that she misses you incredibly. She told me last night that she goes to school everyday to see your empty desk and she catches herself thinking about you. She cannot wait until the day that you get to return and fill the seat again. Kim, you and Shawn are amazing people and I am so incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to meet you, become friends, and learn of Jason's story. I will continue to help you fight the good fight. Be tough!
My thoughts, heart and prayers are with you all.
Your new found friend and soldier,
Tod Stewart
